Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born June 15 in 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora or sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 it received a raving review from both music bloggers and the media. She has previously made two covers that have been viewed by the world's media: Half the World Away by the group Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the hit song Runaway with her voice, offered an additional boost to the music. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of locating an attic piano and being fascinated with the sounds it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music. It was not for work or as a hobby, but rather in order to grow. To do this, she began writing music that was her own. Her influence comes from famous authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her attraction to Bjork's style. Her mom encouraged her to sing her music in front of the public, but not to be famous, but to help others realize how important that they are, and the impact they can do for the world. In the age of 6 she started playing on the piano. When she turned nine was writing music. It was not until she turned 14 that she told her parents. There was no way she could have imagined to be Aurora. She claims that she enjoys creating songs. She says that music is her favourite way to express her feelings about anything.
